The 180 Center was invited to experience a live “Tour of Bethlehem” in December. High Acres Church in Ansonia shared a dramatic production of the birth of Christ and the participants in the The 180 Center program enjoyed it! We are so grateful for all the churches that encourage us in many different ways.
In November, The 180 Center packed 50 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritans Purse! We filled each shoebox with some basic necessities, plus some fun stuff too. The 180 Center guys also helped Calvary Church in Trumbull load trucks full of 9,762 shoeboxes to be transported to OCC headquarters.
Many thanks to your generous giving, especially for Project Luke 14:14! We were able to bless all the grads and current participants in The 180 Center program with a delicious Christmas buffet dinner and a gift card to Walmart. They were so grateful!!
Christmas morning was another opportunity for us to bless our community this year! The 180 Center graduates and disciples served a pancake and sausage breakfast to many who had nowhere else to go that morning. What a blessing we received when so many people dropped off homemade cookies, bakery pastries, and other gifts for our guys and those attending the breakfast! After the breakfast, Marie Biondi from Hope Christian Church in North Haven shared a powerful message; she exhorted the lost, “When you give Him your life, He will give you forever!” Marie is one of our weekly teachers; she has a passion for the lost. It was truly a wonderful Christmas service. We praise God for all those who teach and serve at The 180 Center so faithfully.
Our ultimate goal is to reconnect individuals to God, their families, and a supportive community.
