April 2020 Newsletter & Updates

Dear Family and Friends,

Like the apostle Paul said to to the Thessalonians, we give thanks to God always for you, making mention of you in our prayers. At this time, The 180 Center is not open to the public, but we are serving a “to-go” breakfast and lunch to the homeless, and we are still discipling the men in our program.

First, we request for you to pray for the homeless in New Haven that come to our doors; pray for their salvation and protection. Next, we ask you to continue to pray for us, as we face the challenges of discipling and housing a group of seven men and five graduates in our transition home. In addition, other graduates are managing four sober houses. Please pray for those in sober living to surrender their lives to Christ. Pray for our graduates to use the tools they have to stand fast and be a witness during this difficult trial. Pray for the men in The 180 Discipleship Program to grow and apply what they are learning and for their faithful teachers to hear from the Lord at this time. Most of all, pray for the Lord to protect all.

Lastly, we want you to know that we are committed to pray for you. Updates on our new building are not a priority for us right now, but we want you to know that we continue to move forward. Prayer for our city, the homeless, and everyone that prays, serves, or gives to The 180 Center is our chief mission at this moment. Please know that you are welcome to share your prayer requests, and we will pray. We want to be there for you as you have been for us. We want you to know that you are never alone. Above all, we stand on the faithful promise of God in Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

Blessings, Mike and Ginny
