We are praying and hoping that you are all doing well. We wanted to share some GOOD news with you, and update you about what’s going on with the building.
The 180 Center has continued to serve this fall as a Discipleship Training Center during the week. We did have to close for two weeks because our residents, some graduates, a few teachers and myself were diagnosed with COVID-19. Thankfully, the cases were mild and all have recovered. We praise God for His mercy! We reopened the center at the end of November and also welcomed the public at a limited capacity. We have fewer visitors because the men’s shelter is still closed. However, we had a new resident named Victor join us and two more men are planning to join this coming week. We are requiring them to get tested before they join us. We rejoice that even in a pandemic God is giving us new residents! Please pray for all our residents to grow as disciples of Jesus.
In the last letter I shared that we had an issue with the city because they wouldn’t let us obtain a permit over property taxes. It was resolved and we agreed to pay half of the amount originally owed. After the agreement, we were finally free to move to the next step. We have someone who is experienced and has volunteered his time to obtain permits for us, and we also have someone who has committed to pay for the permits! This is a substantial donation. We are amazed at God’s provision! Without permits, we were not able to work on the building, but we have been paying off the bill for the architect. If you recall in our last letter, I shared that our architect donated his services and only charged for the cost of his assistants and engineers! Plus, we have a window company who gave us half price on the front portion of doors and windows and God provided another donor to pay for the balance! Isn’t God amazing? Please pray God blesses all those who are so generous and willing to bless us!
Also, our Sunday gatherings are both at the center and we are sharing them with our 180 Family live on Zoom. This makes for an interesting interactive service! We want to welcome you to join us on Zoom if you are not attending a church. Just send us an email and request that we include you in our Zoom invitation.
Please keep us in prayer for PATIENCE, favor with the building inspectors, and also pray about giving to meet the financial challenges ahead of us. We are so grateful for all of you. Your prayers have been felt and we are praising God for His healing power and provision. Thank you also for your faithful and generous giving.
Our ultimate goal is to reconnect individuals to God, their families, and a supportive community.
The 180 Center could not survive without your donations. We are completely funded by the generosity of our church and partners. We thank all who have or are going to donate. God bless you!
