Community Care Day was canceled twice because of bad weather forecasts, but we had a great turn out in June. People came to get free clothing, haircuts, hygiene kits, and food. We are especially grateful to Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Woodbridge and Rapha Women’s Ministry from Church on the Rock in New Haven for sending teams to help serve that day. Also, many thanks to all the churches and individuals that served, prayed, donated items, and provided financial donations to make Community Care Day a success!
At the beginning of July, we celebrated the baptisms of two men in The 180 Discipleship Training Program at Lighthouse Park in New Haven. We all enjoyed a cookout and fellowship in the cool shade God provided. Recently, a brother in the program commented about the significance of that day. He said, “Joe went down in the water that day and rose a different man!” We praise God for all He is doing at The 180!
On Saturday, July 7th, we celebrated the graduation of two disciples! John Plummer and Brandon Rhynders completed 18 months of discipleship training at The 180 Center. David Jacob from Grace Baptist Church in Milford led us in beautiful worship. Pastor Jim Wagner from Reclaim Church in Ansonia, and Teddy Natter, Co-director at The 180 Center, shared messages to encourage the graduates. After John and Brandon received their certificates, they shared their testimonies and received prayer from former graduates. To end the celebration, Marie Biondi, from Hope Christian Church in North Haven, led the men currently enrolled in The 180 Discipleship Program in worship.
Our ultimate goal is to reconnect individuals to God, their families, and a supportive community.
The 180 Center could not survive without your donations. We are completely funded by the generosity of our church and partners. We thank all who have or are going to donate. God bless you!
